Back to the grind...

I'm back. And so sleepy. I don't know how new moms do it - well, I guess running on pure adrenaline & a one-hour nap a day got me through it, but I sure am in awe of my sister. She has so much more stamina, patience, faith & good humor with her 2 year old & 3 week old than I think I ever gave her credit for. I am so tired & still catching up! Case in point - today was my first day at my new job & I think I inadvertently yawned in my trainer's face about 10 times today. Whoopsies. Luckily, she was pretty understanding & it wasn't a big deal.

Anyway, I had a good time but I think I'm glad to start my new routine. My job started today & I like it so far, and the people here are so nice - I just can't get over it. I think I really like small Virginia towns more than I thought. :)

Jared starts orientation for med school Wed & then school next Mon. He's itching to get started. He's also taking a medical jargon class online & is so excited to share his new info with me everyday. Have I mentioned I love my husband? Because I do. It is so fun to be with someone who is so interested in learning & eager to share. Even if I am falling asleep while he explains the Latin root of such-and-such to me...

Hope you all are doing well!

I don't know how new mothers do it either. . . and I've been there and done it! All I can tell you is that when you're in the situation you are really blessed with the energy/stamina/patience/etc that you need when you need it. Heavenly Father loves mothers! You'll see. :)

Katie, you are a kick. While I was reading this post, more than anything, I was tickled that you and J are so happy in the phase of life you're in. So often I think I forget to be happy with what's going on in the moment. Love you. (P.S. We've had a scooter for about 5 years. Tell Jared he's silly.)
