More pics from Gin's...

I told you I'd have some more (in no particular order).
(Thanks to Scott for being the weekend photographer!
You rock!)

The awesome Shorter family.
I love these guys.

Hanging out with both sets of parents, a brother, & neighbors for an impromptu BBQ

Cute Cam.
(I know sometimes he's a little ornery - he is two, after all - but I just love him.)

Sweet Charlotte.
I could snuggle this little girl forever. And she does like to be held!

Yay! A smile!

Swimmin' with dad in Grandpa & Grandma's hotel pool

The big thumbs up to Uncle Scott!
(I love this picture.)

I love how attentive Charlotte is to her Grandpa Wayne in this shot.
(I wonder, too, if my mom & dad are taken aback by how much their little granddaughter looks like her mom, their little girl...)

Cam stole Charlotte's baby blanket, apparently, and totally thinks he's hilarious here.
(See? I love this kid. He laughs at himself.)

So sleepy.

Scott entertaining Cam for a pic.

I love my little sister. She's so cute!

The whole fam at a Brewers game

Downtown Madison

Papa Shorter & baby Char

I saw a lot of this face when I visited.
(I guess it is pretty tough to be a 2-year-old & be adjusting to a new little sister at the same time...)

Grammy Shorter & Cam, reading.
So sweet.

My dad can work smiles out of babies & children more than anyone I know.
Well, maybe Scott & Jared too.
(Apparently the men in our family have a gift...)

Cam swinging with Grandpa & Grandma

He's getting so big!
(I can't wait to see how much the kids have grown at Christmas!)

More pictures from Grandma T...

Aka Mom, from her trip to Wisconsin to see Gin & Chad. Thanks, mom!

Wishing I were in Wisconsin...

Even though I was just there. I'm stealing a few pictures of this past weekend from my sister...and hopefully will have more to come from my awesome big bro, Scott, who could (& should) teach me a thing or two about photography. These are images of my parents & big brother, Scott, & Chad's parents gathering in Madison for Charlotte's baby blessing.

Sleepy Char.

I could not keep from laughing at how large this flower is on her head.
But I love her alert expression.

Curious Cam.
He's getting so big!

Charlotte wearing the same dress both Ginnie & I were blessed in.
(I can't get over how much she looks like her mom. Really. As babies, they could be twins, at least in this picture.)

The whole gang.
(Apparently Scott created a monster when he let Cam have the remote control to the camera. Ha!)

Big brother & his little sister. So sweet.

To see some more great pics of her family & the weekend, go here.

I'll say it...

I'm a nerd. A super choir geek/nerd, actually.

My high school choir teacher, Ms. Matthews (I still cannot call her by her first name, even though I'm 10+ years out of high school now), is having a get-together for the Madrigals choir group I was in sophomore-senior years. I LIVED for choir. In fact, I still miss it. A lot. Is that nerdy? Probably.)

Ms. M
(I totally stole this picture from her FB page...)

We're getting together to watch old videos of when we went to Austria - our choir was selected to represent Virginia in the Austrian Millennial Birthday Celebration. We had a fabulous time, and I was so happy to learn about how big & amazing the world is. And to see Mozart's place of birth, no less.

Austria

Some fun while in Austria...

Singing under the Golden Roof in Innsbruck
(Right before Kenny's solo out-blasted the approaching marching band!
Suh-weet!)

I didn't attend my high school reunion because I couldn't make up my mind about whether or not to go to talk to people who didn't really talk to me anyway. But I am beyond happy to see people who I spent such a huge amount of time with. And we're all grown up, married, parents & working stiffs, natch!

*All photos - except the one of Ms. M - are courtesy of one Ms. Rachael Joyner. Thanks, Rach, even though you don't know I stole the pictures just yet.*

Happy Birthday, Ginnie!

To my best girlfriend & sister...
You are one amazing woman.
Happy Birthday!
I love you.

Josh & Olivia's visit

Olivia & Grandpa Wayne
(all the grandkids' favorite!)

My brother Josh & his daughter Olivia went to visit my parents a weekend back, and my mom sent me the pictures. Thanks, mom! I can't believe how old - and tan - Olivia is. Happy belated 8th bday, O! :)

Welcome Charlotte

Welcome Charlotte Mae Shorter, my new little niece!

Born to Chad & Ginnie on July 16th at 11:47 p.m. 7 lbs, 15 oz, 20 inches. I know Ginnie's feeling better now that her little girl is here!

I am so excited to have a niece...that makes two nieces and seven nephews in both of my families. Here's a picture of Charlotte with her dad:

I'm excited that I get to go out & spend time with them in a couple of weeks, so you know I'll have more pictures to post. Welcome, little Charlotte! :) You're part of a great family, & you have awesome parents & a cute big brother.

4th...night pictures

I think I took too many pictures...

J watching the fireworks

The crowd watching the last, awesome firework show.
(Note how Jeff has to hold Happy. The dog was a psycho all night - trying to bite the fireworks. Crazy!)

Melody & Trent watching the show.

One of the fireworks.

Joseph's reaction to fireworks. He loves them.

Dancing around the fireworks show.
(Trent was in on it too, but I only caught Joseph.)

Another fireworks spectacle...

I was trying to catch the sparkler in between Melody & Trent, & this is what I got...

Dancing to the patriotic music while waiting for the next show.
(Hey! Who got a hold of my camera? I'm not supposed to be on here!)
